Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Forge Fitness, an iPhone app published by twofox (Nischal Khadka). Installing or using the app means you accept them. They are written in plain language on purpose; the plain language is the agreement.

1. Your licence

Forge is free and has no in-app purchases, no subscription and no ads. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA), extended by the EULA on this site. If anything here conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls. Apple is not a party to these terms but may enforce them as a third-party beneficiary.

2. What the app is

Forge is a gym companion: routines, a set-by-set workout log with rest timers, calorie and protein logging, body-weight tracking and charts. It needs iOS 26 or later.

3. Not medical or coaching advice

Forge logs what you tell it and calculates from it. Suggested plans, calorie and protein targets, and progress estimates are general information generated by simple rules, not medical, dietary or coaching advice, and they are not tailored to your health. Training carries a risk of injury. Consult a qualified professional before starting a programme, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are under 18, and stop if something hurts.

4. Your data is yours

Your training history stays on your device. twofox receives no copy of it and cannot restore it for you. Export a CSV from Settings, and keep an iPhone backup, if the record matters to you. The privacy policy, which forms part of these terms, explains the rest.

5. Third-party data

Exercise information comes from wger under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, and food data from Open Food Facts under the Open Database License. Both are community databases: entries can be incomplete or wrong, and nutrition figures in particular are only as good as the person who entered them. twofox does not warrant their accuracy. If you reuse data obtained through the app, those licences apply to you too.

6. Acceptable use

Beyond what the Standard EULA already says, you agree not to reverse engineer the app or use it to flood the wger or Open Food Facts services with automated requests. If you find a bug, twofox would rather hear about it than have it exploited.

7. Availability and changes

The app is offered free of charge with no guarantee of future updates or continued App Store availability. twofox may add, change or retire features, and the two online lookups depend on services twofox does not run and cannot promise. Everything else works offline on devices where the app is already installed.

8. No warranty and limitation of liability

Forge is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, twofox is not liable for lost data, injury, or indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law gives you as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. twofox may end the licence if you materially breach these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute about the app, are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and twofox agree that the state and federal courts located in Maryland have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute. Nothing in this section takes away protections you have under the consumer laws of the place where you live that cannot be waived by agreement, and nothing in it limits Apple's rights under the Standard EULA. Before going to court, write to support@twofox.app: most problems are fixable with an email.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version is published at this address with a new date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
