Get in touch

Email support@twofox.app and a human, the person who made the app, will answer. Include your iPhone model, iOS version and, if a session went wrong, its invite code.

Starting and joining

How do I start a session?

Home → Deal the deck. Pick a mood (restaurants, coffee, bars, dessert or brunch), a radius and any filters, then share the six-character code or invite link from the lobby. Tap Start swiping when everyone is in.

How do I join one?

Home → Join with a code, or tap the invite link someone shares; it opens the app straight into the lobby.

Can I swipe alone?

Yes. Start a session and swipe solo, or use I'm Hungry for a ranked list of the best places open right now, no deck required.

How many people can join?

Two to four per session. Late joiners get the same deck as everyone else.

Swiping and the reveal

Does everyone have to swipe at the same time?

No. Swipe whenever you get to it. The reveal fires the moment the last person finishes, and you get a push notification if you allowed them. If someone bails, the host gets a Reveal now button.

How many super-likes do I get?

Two per session. A super-liked place always surfaces in the result, either as the winner or among the runner-ups.

Why did a place I disliked show up?

A dislike from anyone excludes that cuisine, with one exception: a single outstanding 4.6★+ wildcard can still appear. The badged "Something different" card is deliberate too, one deck slot from outside the group's comfort zone.

Can we run it again?

Go another round re-deals with the same place, mood and filters rather than starting from scratch.

Friends, handles and trips

What does Sign in with Apple add?

An @handle, friends, and a profile that follows you to a new phone. Guests can still host and join sessions; friend features show a locked state until you sign in. Signing in keeps everything from your guest account.

How do friends work?

Search a friend's exact @handle from Profile and send a request. Once accepted you can invite each other straight into a lobby, and see the places each of you pins to your shelf. Unfriend or block from their profile; blocking hides you from their search.

What is a trip?

A personal list of places for a destination and dates, saved from any restaurant sheet. Trips are private to you and work offline.

Location and data

Location is denied. Can I still use it?

Yes. Search for a place by name or postcode when you set the session up; recent searches are remembered on your phone.

The hours or photos are wrong.

Venue data comes from Foursquare and Google Places and can lag reality. Tap the venue and use Website or Call to confirm before you go.

Notifications are not arriving.

Chews asks for permission after you finish swiping. If you declined, turn it on under iOS Settings → Chews → Notifications. Reveals also appear the next time you open the app.

How do I delete everything?

Profile → Delete account removes your account, profile, handle, taste memory, trips, shelf, friends and any swipes in live sessions. Sessions themselves expire seven days after they are created. You can also email support@twofox.app.

What data does the app collect?

Only what a shared session needs, and no analytics or ads. The privacy policy lists every item and how long it is kept.
