Email support@twofox.app and a human, the person who made the app, will answer. It helps to include your device model, iOS version, and what you were editing.

Starting out

How do I start editing?

Studio → Edit a photo opens the system picker; pick one and the editor opens with it as your base layer. Blank canvas starts from a preset or exact pixel size, and Collage starts from a grid template. The camera button captures a photo straight into the project.

Where do my projects live?

On your device, in Kolor's own document store, as .pxsproj bundles: a JSON manifest plus your untouched source images. Recent work sits on the Studio home; See all opens the full grid.

Is anything paid?

No. There is no paid tier, no watermark and no export limit. Every tool, filter and content pack is included.

Why does Kolor ask for camera or Photos permission?

Only when you use the feature that needs it: the camera button asks for camera access, and saving an export asks for add-only access to Photos. Picking photos uses the system picker and needs no permission at all. Kolor never reads your library.

Editing

How do layers work?

Every import, sticker, text and shape is its own layer. Open the layers panel to reorder, hide, mask, change blend mode and opacity, or flatten a group.

Can I get a subject cutout without AI?

Yes. Cutout gives you lasso, brush and colour-select tools that you drive yourself. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is generated.

How do the retouch tools find eyes and skin?

With Apple's on-device Vision framework, a classical face-landmark detector. It runs on your device and nothing about your face is stored.

Editing feels slow on a huge canvas.

Very large canvases (above roughly 6,000 px on the long edge) tax the GPU on older devices. Work at a smaller canvas and use Fit / Resize at export, or close other apps to free memory.

Projects and export

Export options?

PNG, JPEG or HEIC at your canvas size or a chosen long edge. Exports go to Photos or the share sheet; the project stays editable. JPEG quality is set in Settings → Export.

Does an export keep the photo's location and camera info?

Not unless you ask. Metadata is stripped by default. Turn on Keep photo metadata on the export sheet to copy the source photo's metadata into the file.

How do I move my work to a new device?

Kolor has no cloud sync. Export the images you want to keep, or move everything with an iPhone backup: iCloud device backup or a Finder transfer carries the app and its projects across.

I deleted a project by mistake.

There is no server copy, so a deleted project cannot be recovered by twofox. If you have a recent device backup, restoring it brings the project back.
